Aged for 24 months this Gouda is packed with flavour. Hard, slightly crunchy texture with strong caramel flavours and sweet finish.
We love a good Gouda and they don't come much better than this. Aged for 24 months near Utrecht, Holland, Reypenaer VSOP Gouda is a new addition to our range but is rapidly becoming one of the most popular. Gouda is one of the world's most popular cheeses and remarkably accounts for around 50% cheese consumed.
The Reypenaer Gouda has a heavy texture with delightful calcium lactate crystals throughout to give it a thoroughly satisfying crunch, perfectly complimenting the strong, caramel flavours and slight piquancy. A sweet finish rounds it off nicely.
If you want to pair drinks with this Gouda then we'd recommend a strong Belgian beer such as Chimay Bleu or robust red wines with strong berry flavours.
