Red Wine Farmer
Red Wine Farmer is a delicious hard cheese from Affineur Walo. Similar to a Gruyere with perhaps a little more floral and sweet flavours, Red Wine Farmer gets a wash in red wine every so often to impart a subtle smokiness to the cheese and is matured for seven to eight months. We've not had a customer yet who hasn't enjoyed this cheese after tasting it.
This cheese can be eaten as it is but imparts a real flavour boost into a fondue or other dishes where melted cheese is required. Our favourite fondue combination is Red Wine Farmer, mature Comté and Rollright, a UK version of Reblochon.
Part of Affineur Walo's superb range of cheeses in which he builds relationships with the finest raw milk cheese-makers and hand picks their best cheeses to ensure his range is the best in can be.
