From the makers of Cornish Yarg, Cornish Kern is a delicious new cheese and already a World Champion.
Despite only being a couple of years old, Cornish Kern has already become a World Champion cheese, winning at the World Cheese Awards in 2017.
Made in Truro, Cornwall by Lynher Dairies, Kern is a hard cheese, with buttery caramel flavours along the lines of Comté or Gouda, which develop as the cheese matures for around 16 months. As with a hard cheese of this age, there is a wonderful depth of flavour and those lovely crystals that you get in a well aged cheese.
If you've never tried a World Champion cheese before then this is a great place to start. One of the finest cheeses out there.
This cheese is made with pasteurised milk and traditional rennet.
